Coding is about figuring things out. We celebrate trying, debugging, and finding multiple paths to a solution.
Bugs are part of the process. Students learn to slow down, read carefully, and keep going when things don't work the first time.
From digital citizenship to cybersecurity, we talk about what it means to be a thoughtful user and creator online.
Students design games, websites, apps, and AI projects — real things they can share with friends and family.
Computer Science & Digital Literacy is a year-long course for every student in grades 6, 7, and 8. Over three years, students build foundational digital skills and then move into real coding, app development, game design, AI, and cybersecurity.
Students receive one final grade at the end of the year. When checking PowerSchool, look for the Y1 column.
